Business of the Month
JobMatch, a division of Community Living Wallaceburg was first established in 2004. JobMatch's focus is
to assist persons with disability related barriers to employment to find and maintain full paying jobs.June 2010 Recipient - JobMatch  JobMatch has a dedicated staff of 3 and currently offers active support to 30 individuals who are competitively employed in businesses located in Wallaceburg and throughout Chatham-Kent. Through the years JobMatch has formed productive partnerships with Ontario Works, the Lambton Kent District School Board and JobConnect. JobMatch is involved with many community initiatives throughout the year such as the Wallaceburg Beautification Team, Canada Day, WAMBO and the Wallaceburg & District Chamber of Commerce. JobMatch's future plans include seeking out a variety of new businesses willing to hire persons with a disability related barrier to employment. It is a fact that according to Prime Minister Harper, the greatest threat facing our economy is a labour shortage. The single largest untapped labour force is those with disability related barriers to employment. The sooner businesses include people with disabilities, the better prepared they will be to survive the labour shortage, to add diversity to their workplace and in the end benefit and grow productivity from a largely untapped, highly motivated work force.
